ARIS – the AssistRing Intelligence System – is the in-house AI layer that runs behind every AssistRing agent. It is the central hub that coordinates our proprietary tools so information flows cleanly from one to the next, and it does that without ever taking the human out of the conversation. AssistRing runs on a strict Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) model: dedicated people, augmented by our own software, delivering onshore-quality service at competitive offshore pricing from our on-site team in Karachi.
This guide explains what ARIS is, the modules it orchestrates, how those pieces work together on a live campaign, and how we roll it all out for a new client.

Why ARIS is built in-house
Plenty of outsourcing providers bolt together third-party tools and hope they talk to each other. We took the opposite route and built our own layer. Keeping the intelligence system in-house means quality, security, and speed stay under our control. The tools are designed to support our agents and our SOPs, not the other way around. ARIS is the piece that ties everything together so a client sees one coordinated operation rather than a patchwork of software.
The capabilities ARIS orchestrates
Think of ARIS as the umbrella. The day-to-day work happens through five connected capabilities that plug into it.
EDITH – real-time translation
EDITH is our proprietary, ultra-low-latency translation engine. It translates live calls in both directions as people speak, which removes the language barrier on non-English campaigns – for example, in Germany and Spain – without forcing a customer to wait or repeat themselves.
SAGE – compliance and performance
SAGE is our compliance and performance suite. SAGE Quality integrates directly with dialers to evaluate call quality in real time, and it also lets our human QA evaluators upload call recordings to audit them against each client’s specific compliance SOPs. Client rules are fed straight into SAGE, so monitoring is tailored to the campaign rather than generic.
Agent Co-Pilot – on-call guidance for agents
Agent Co-Pilot is a real-time browser extension that listens to a live call and gives the agent instant, on-screen guidance to stay aligned with the client’s script and SOPs. It sits inside the SAGE suite, and its whole job is to make the human on the line more accurate and more consistent in the moment.
VOX – frontline voice and chat
VOX is our frontline conversational AI, and it comes in two forms. VOX Voice is a human-like voice agent for inbound and outbound calls; VOX Chat handles messaging channels. Both absorb sudden spikes in volume, resolve tier-1 queries, schedule reservations, and log tickets. When a conversation needs complex reasoning or genuine emotional intelligence, VOX seamlessly transfers the session to a live, on-site agent – it escalates to a person rather than trapping the customer in automation.
Human-in-the-Loop – the framework around all of it
Every capability above exists to support people, not to replace them. HITL is the principle that keeps a trained human accountable for the outcome of each interaction, with the software handling speed, consistency, and the repetitive work. It is the reason AssistRing can promise both efficiency and empathy on the same campaign.

How ARIS works on a live campaign
On a running campaign the pieces work as one flow. A call or message arrives and is handled by an agent or by VOX. If there’s a language gap, EDITH translates the conversation in both directions in real time. While the agent is on the line, Agent Co-Pilot surfaces the right guidance so they follow the client’s script and rules. SAGE scores the interaction for quality and compliance as it happens, and everything is logged and connected through our proprietary CRM. ARIS is what keeps that data flowing between the tools so nothing falls through the cracks.

Security, quality, and compliance
KPIs, agent productivity, and campaign SLAs are managed on our proprietary custom CRM and monitored continuously by our vendor management team. On compliance, AssistRing is fully compliant with PCI-DSS for secure payment processing, HIPAA for healthcare information privacy, and GDPR for EU data protection – across both our physical facilities and our digital software layers.
Rolling ARIS out on your campaign
Onboarding is highly customized; the schedule depends on the size and complexity of the campaign. In practice it means mapping your workflow, feeding your rules and SOPs into SAGE for tailored monitoring, and configuring the modules your campaign actually needs. The goal is a clean handoff from the strategy defined in Hamburg to the on-site delivery team in Karachi, with ARIS coordinating the tools underneath.

The takeaway
ARIS is not a chatbot that replaces your team. It is the intelligence layer that makes a human-in-the-loop team faster, more consistent, and easier to scale – live translation, real-time QA, on-call guidance, and frontline voice and chat, all coordinated in one place, with a person accountable for the result.

Frequently Asked Questions.
1. What does ARIS stand for?
ARIS stands for AssistRing Intelligence System. It is AssistRing's proprietary AI platform that coordinates five in-house modules — EDITH, SAGE, Agent Co-Pilot, VOX Voice and VOX Chat — around a live human agent.
2. Is ARIS a replacement for human agents?
No. ARIS is built on a Human-in-the-Loop framework. VOX resolves routine tier-1 queries and escalates anything requiring complex reasoning or emotional judgement to a live on-site agent. EDITH, SAGE and Agent Co-Pilot exist purely to support human agents, not to substitute for them.
3. Does ARIS work with our existing dialer and CRM?
Yes. ARIS is dialer-agnostic and integrates with existing phone systems and CRMs via API. You do not have to migrate telephony platforms to use it.
4. How many languages does EDITH translate?
EDITH supports 60+ languages natively for real-time, bidirectional live call translation, at roughly two seconds of voice latency.
5. How is SAGE different from standard call QA software?
Standard QA scores a random sample of calls, usually days after they happen. SAGE connects to the dialer and scores 100% of completed calls within seconds, against the client's own SOPs, with results visible to both the agent and the client.
6. Can we use only one ARIS module?
Yes. ARIS is modular. Most clients start with a single module that addresses their sharpest pain point — commonly SAGE for QA coverage or Agent Co-Pilot for handle time — and expand once it is proven.
7. Are there separate software licence fees for ARIS?
No. Every ARIS module is AssistRing in-house technology. There are no third-party software licences billed on top of the service.
8. Is ARIS compliant with GDPR and HIPAA?
Yes. AssistRing operates in compliance with PCI-DSS, HIPAA and GDPR across both its physical facilities and its software layer.
9. How long does ARIS deployment take?
Onboarding is customised to campaign size and complexity, so timelines vary. The rollout follows five stages: needs analysis, module selection, platform integration, ARIS configuration, and human-AI handoff tuning.
10. What happens when VOX cannot resolve a customer's issue?
VOX escalates and transfers the session to a live on-site agent, carrying the conversation context with it. The customer does not repeat themselves, and the queue does not reset.
